Spring Commencement
Spring Commencement will take place on Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. We will hold one ceremony on each date and graduates will be assigned a ceremony based on their college or school.

Only May 2025 candidates who will have completed all undergraduate and graduate degree requirements by the end of the spring 2025 term will be eligible to participate in the Spring Commencement exercises. Please review the University policy about Graduation and Commencement.
In order to help facilitate a meaningful and celebratory day for our graduates and their families, we want to remind you that all attendees (both students and guests) are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct and our Expressive Activity Policy. Violations of these policies before, during or after the ceremony may result in a delay in the official distribution of degrees for those responsible, or other sanctions as appropriate.
We know that everyone wants to honor our graduates and appreciate everyone’s anticipated cooperation to properly commemorate this special day.
Doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degree candidates will celebrate their achievements together. There will not be a separate Graduate Commencement.
